Podcast Interview: How To Do A Renovation Without Regrets
I sat down recently on the little yellow couch with Style Matters podcast host Zandra Zuraw to discuss why renovation regret is such a common phenomenon amongst today’s homeowners, and what are some clear, actionable things that can help minimize and eliminate self-inflicted reno mistakes and regrets when it comes to home improvement.
I share with listeners my backstory on what led me to start the Kickstart House community, and why I believe homeowner empowerment is crucial for avoiding so much of the confusion and frustration that comes with home projects today.
Where Renovation Regret Comes From
Renovation regret often comes from spending a lot of money, time, and energy on things that don’t have meaning. You can combat second-guessing and reno regret by approaching your physical surroundings with intention. This applies not just to the overall design of the house itself, but also its interior design, decor, furnishings, and how you choose to approach the process and journey of updating a personal home.
It was great to be part of this style interview because Zandra and I are kindred spirits in our advocacy for helping homeowners create meaningful homes for themselves.
I also share my Renovation Roadmap and how I created it especially to give homeowners a framework for navigating their path towards a meaningful dream home that’s just right for them.
