Hi there, I’m Mona.

I’m a serial renovator, licensed architect, and former design consultant to numerous HGTV home makeover shows.

I’ve met a lot of people just like you, whose lives are held back by the current state of their homes. They start off strong with a desire to renovate, then end up getting stalled, confused, overwhelmed, or side-tracked. Many times, life simply gets in the way. The next thing you know, years may have passed and you’re still living in that too-outdated, too-small, or too-broken house that you once vowed to change.

I know because I’ve been there, too. And I know how to help you get moving again.

Kickstart House is the support squad I wish existed whenever I go through a project. And I’m so excited to share it with you.

Yes, you CAN achieve your dream home without the stress.

Think of it this way.

When you go through big life changes, I bet you rely on the support, help, and advice of others to get you through. For career changes, there are advisors and mentors. For marriage, there are therapists and counselors. For parenting, there are mother’s clubs. Kickstart House is your support system to get you through the very big task of transforming your home.

Chances are, your standard network of friends and loved ones are well-intentioned. Many also want to be helpful. But home renovation is a very personal thing. And each project is different. Most people — even those who have renovated in their own lives — are not experts in helping you make the right decisions for your style, your budget, and your life.

This is where Kickstart House can help you.

Here is a tale of two homeowners. Who would you rather be?

Jessica and Sara both bought aging houses with lots of potential for improvement. They both watched their fair share of HGTV shows and compiled Pinterest boards full of inspiration. They are both excited and ready to finally renovate.

Meet Jessica.

Jessica does her due diligence by researching online. She asks friends and family for recommendations and interviews multiple contractors.

Jessica hires a builder who worked on her neighbor’s house. He seems nice and is giving her a good deal. It’s a bit more than what she wanted to spend, but she feels good about her decision.

Construction begins and she is quickly overwhelmed with the number of questions the builder is asking and decisions she has to make on short notice. Some details just don’t look right and when she wants them corrected, she ends up receiving expensive change orders. Meanwhile, her family is temporarily living in a cramped space which adds to the stress. She feels pretty isolated in her experience since none of her friends and family are going through the same thing and wants to appear positive for them.

The project costs keep going up and it’s taking much longer than she expected.

By the time her remodel is complete, she’s feeling so emotionally and financially drained that she can barely enjoy her beautiful new house.

Meet Sara.

Sara does her due diligence by researching online and decides to join Kickstart House. She is able to ask for help from not just friends and family, but also a personal House Coach and an entire community of renovating homeowners.

Sara originally thought she needed to start with a builder. However through her tribe experience, she learned that the best path for her situation was to hire an architect and engineer first. It’s a bit more than what she wanted to spend, but she feels confident that she has greatly reduced her financial risk. She feels good about her decision.

Construction begins. The volume of information and decisions involved with the project is intense, but much of it was coordinated ahead of time by her team already and she knows exactly who to consult when new issues inevitably pop up. She feels empowered in this complex process and emotionally supported by her tribe.

When her remodel is complete, she feels accomplished and grateful for the journey that brought her to her new, dream home.

43% all renovation projects finish over budget and

49% finish past schedule.

Will you be amongst these statistics? I think you deserve better.
